After-School Coding Club at Hale School

The MakeCode club teaches coding languages and computational thinking using a block-based approach for an easy and engaging learning experience. It focuses on strengthening foundational coding concepts and skills in computational thinking through its accessible block-based framework.

The club fosters personal connections to computing by tapping into students’ creativity and interests. Students learn computing concepts at their own pace through personally meaningful projects.

The MakeCode club provides a strong foundation for students to transition to Python programming course offered through Codekids’ After-School and/or Weekend classes.

Please note:
All applicants are accepted on a ‘first in, first served’ basis,
as there are limited positions.

These coding clubs are exclusive to Hale School students.
