2-Day Kids Animation holiday class

Bring your child’s imagination to life in this fun, hands-on introduction to animation! Across two creative days, students will learn how everyday objects—Lego, clay, paper, toys—can be turned into real animated movies using kid-friendly stop-motion apps.

Day 1: Lego Animation & Flipbooks
Children start with a simple flipbook to learn how movement works frame by frame, then explore stop-motion tools on iPads. Working in small groups, they create their first short Lego animation, learning how tiny changes bring characters to life. The day ends with a mini showcase where everyone gets to share their creation.

Day 2: Claymation & Storytelling
Students build colourful clay characters and plan a simple story with a beginning, middle, and end. They’ll film a short claymation or mixed-media movie using Lego props and handmade backgrounds, adding simple sound effects and titles. The class concludes with a fun “mini movie festival” celebrating each child’s creativity.

By the end of the course, every student will have created multiple short animations while learning storytelling, teamwork, and digital media skills—all in a playful, imaginative environment.
