5-Day Tech Systems & Game Server Builder Camp

Build real-world tech skills in this hands-on, beginner-friendly program!
Students will set up their own computing environment, explore Linux, learn essential terminal tools, configure a simple Minecraft server and server manager, and discover the basics of cybersecurity, including the responsibilities of a service provider.

Across five days, students will:

• Set up a virtual machine and operating system

• Learn essential Linux operating system skills

• Install and configure a game hosting platform

• Understand computer networking basics

• Secure their system using modern cybersecurity practices

• Apply their learning and present their final project on the last day

Equipment:
CodeKids will provide laptops during class time, as well as access to a virtual private server. Students are encouraged to bring their own laptops and/or hosting equipment if they wish.
