Class Details

The MakeCode club teaches the coding language and computational thinking using block-based approaches for an easy learning journey. The club focuses on solidifying foundational coding concepts and skills in computational thinking through the approachable block-based coding framework.

The club supports the development of personal connections to computing by drawing upon students’ creativity and interests. More experienced children can also benefit from MakeCode as they can use MakeCode to code robotics and mod Minecraft.

It also lays a solid foundation for our students to learn advanced programming languages, such as Python and JavaScript. Students will learn computing concepts at their own pace through personally meaningful projects.

Students will be taught by friendly and professional coding instructors from Codekids Perth. They will learn these future-proof skills in a fun and educational environment.

To master the visual-based programming, we recommend that students study at the club for one year, or until they are ready to move on to the text-based programming.
