Codekids offers premier Coding, Programming, and STEM programs for the success of our students in 2030 and beyond.

Every Child in Western Australia Should Learn How to Code

By 2030, AI and robots are expected to replace as much as 30% of the world’s current human labour (McKinsey). To stay ahead of the curve, we need to embrace change and equip children with coding and programming skills in their formative years.

Codekids aims to provide support for our students every step of the way on their educational journey. We are a pioneer in children’s coding, programming and STEM education: providing students with structured programs that facilitates a steady, continuous progression of students’ coding, programming, design, engineering, and communication skills.

In order to fulfill our commitment to our students, we aim to equip them with the future proof skills needed to become innovative decision-makers, technology creators, and entrepreneurs in the digital realm. These skills are also highly valued by leading universities worldwide and top employers in the future.

Our Programs and Courses

Students are highly encouraged to begin by learning coding fundamentals, computational thinking, and creative design through the Scratch & Computational Thinking program (ages 5-11) and/or the MakeCode coding program (ages 7-11), along with elective courses such as Coding with Minecraft and VEX Robotics. Once students become proficient in visual-based coding language, they will receive training in the world’s most in-demand programming language.

Our Python program (ages 9-17) focuses on teaching and practising the text-based programming language, allowing students to progress through both beginner and intermediate levels. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to explore elective courses such as Make Games with Roblox.

While completing the Python program, some students opt to participate in Australian programming competitions through the Game Programming & Australian STEM Video Game Challenge and Algorithmic Programming & Australian Informatics Olympiad Competition courses.

Students aspiring to enter the field of game development can explore courses such as Game Programming (Godot) and Unity (C#). Additionally, we offer the Cybersecurity course for students who wish to specialise in this field.
