Minecraft school holiday 2-Day class

Class time: 1:00pm – 4:00pm, for 2 days

Estimated number of students: 4-6

Prerequisites: Nil

Equipment: Students are advised to bring their own laptop (Windows or Mac) ; We will provide a laptop during class time if student does not have one.

The Minecraft class is designed for students who are looking to learn the fundamentals of programming inside of a familiar context. Students familiar with Scratch programming will find this as an easy transition – as Scratch and MakeCode are both block-based programming languages. Students will use their newfound programming knowledge to solve challenges, create minigames, and showcase their work to each other in a multiplayer server.

At the end of class, parents and students will receive advice on how to continue their coding/programming classes during school terms. The long-term Scratch course is available in the next school term.
